Trouw is the newspaper for Dutch people with ideals. This newspaper has a circulation of 93,781 purchased copies and reaches 293,000 readers. They are affluent, university-educated people who want to help to build a better, healthier and more sustainable world.

The newspaper focuses on the growing importance of vital issues of religion and philosophy, politics, law and sustainable development. This approach gives Trouw a unique, clear identity valued by readers.

Trouw has two sections each day. The first is the new section containing reports, features and background articles about news from the Netherlands, the world, about the economy, the stock market and sport. The ‘de Verdieping’ section offers background information, views and opinions about the news and major current issues.

From 31 March 2012, Trouw includes two magazines on Saturday: ‘Letter & Geest’ (Letter & Mind) and ‘Tijd’ (Time). These are both published in a unique format on luxury newsprint. ‘Letter & Geest’ is an ideological, cultural/philosophical supplement including book news.

Trouw has an iPhone app since 2009 and an iPad version since 2011. Proof that Trouw wants to keep its readers informed all the time, wherever they are.
