The acquisition of the former PCM, now Persgroep Nederland, was financially fully integrated by the end of 2010. 2010 was the new group's first full year, and its operating income rose to € 932 million, divided equally over Belgium and the Netherlands. Partly owing to the strong performance in the existing Belgian audiovisual and publishing activities, EBITDA grew by 63% to € 146 million and the net profit (after goodwill depreciation) by 21% to € 34 million. A year and a half after the acquisition, there is virtually no net financial debt on the balance sheet.
